LOCAL SWEET CORN ARRIVES AT MARKETS

A few ears of Minnesota-grown sweet corn made it to market Tuesday in St. Cloud.
And much more of the summertime treat is expected to be harvested locally this weekend and early next week.

Stoney Brook Farms, a family farm in Foley in central Minnesota, just became the 600th water quality certified farm. Owners Brad and Mark Chmielewski have taken an innovative approach to managing their farm to protect water quality and soil health, including no-till planting, residue management, cover crops, and crop diversity.
STONEY BROOK FARMS ENDS OF SEASON PUMPKIN AND SQUASH

Stoney Brook Farms wrapped up this fall harvest season with 4,000 bins of pumpkins, which adds up to about 2.5 million pounds of pumpkins. The farm also harvested squash.
University of Minnesota salutes 2019 Farm Families of the Year

Stoney Brook Farms named Benton County Farm Family of the year.
Eighty-four families from throughout Minnesota are being honored as 2019 Farm Family of the Year by the University of Minnesota.
