LOCAL SWEET CORN ARRIVES AT MARKETS

A few ears of Minnesota-grown sweet corn made it to market Tuesday in St. Cloud.
And much more of the summertime treat is expected to be harvested locally this weekend and early next week.

Stoney Brook Farms, a family farm in Foley in central Minnesota, just became the 600th water quality certified farm. Owners Brad and Mark Chmielewski have taken an innovative approach to managing their farm to protect water quality and soil health, including no-till planting, residue management, cover crops, and crop diversity.

FOLEY, Minn. — One of the largest and most intricate corn mazes in the entire country manages to get a little more amazing with each passing year. The maze can be found at Stoney Brook Farms, near the town of Foley in Benton County.
